Newtown Library Co. continues series with Dave Worrell

  • Newtown Library Company 114 East Centre Avenue Newtown, PA, 18940 United States (map)

As part of their Bard Series poetry readings, Dave Worrell will share his poetry at the historic Newtown Library Co. The library is one of the most intimate settings for an up close, personal reading. Everything about the library harkens back to the day when reading poetry aloud was a common occurrence.

Dave Worrell’s first chapbook, titled “We Who Were Bound” was published in August 2012 by Casa de Cinco Hermanas Press.  His recent work includes ekphrastic poems inspired by paintings by Catherine Kuzma. Dave’s poems have appeared in U.S. 1 Worksheets, Mad Poets Review, Exit 13, Wild River Review, Fox Chase Review, Adanna and The Casa de Cinco Hermanas Journal.  He has performed his music-backed poems at Chris’ Jazz Café in Philadelphia and The Cornelia Street Café in New York.
