As part of their Bard Series poetry readings, Steve Delia will share his poetry at the historic Newtown Library Co. The library is one of the most intimate settings for an up close, personal reading. Everything about the library harkens back to the day when reading poetry aloud was a common occurrence.
Steve Delia has read his work in coffee houses, bars, libraries and book stores, as well as some unusual places including a cemetery, a church, and an Institute of Science. He has also read on WXPN, World Café Live, won first prize in poetry at the Philadelphia Writers Conference and has been published in the Mad Poets Review and Schuylkill Valley Journal, among other literary journals. He has five collections of poetry, Revisited, Revised and Retyped, Volumes 1 and 2, 1622 Church Street, Haiku and Other Imaginings, Zoo Poetry and he is working on a new manuscript of poems, The Alphabet Poems.
