Alison Tanik
Judge 2026 River Heron Poetry Prize

Alison Tanik is a poet/performer based in the English Midlands. She is currently doing a PhD in poetry examining (among other things) silence. Her work has won prizes on both sides of the Atlantic, been published in a variety of magazines and anthologies, and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2025. She came to writing in her mid-50s.
