C.M. Barnes currently lives with his family in Denver, Colorado, but, like many recent arrivals to the Rockies, he grew up in the Middle West and comes from a long line of farmers. (Thus, much of his work reflects real or imagined memories of cornfields.) Barnes’ work also explores what it means to be a twenty-first century American father trying to pass on historical knowledge in a meaningful way.
