Seeing the bones in Pompei piqued my fascination with science, nature, and the mystery of their connectedness to question my place in the expanse of everything, my smallness, the smaller-ness of my bones, my cells, my mineral composition, age old questions about a master plan, the direction of matter, what matters. I’m acutely aware of temporal and bodily limits but always questioning the difference between impermanence and ultimate rest. I wonder.
