These poems seek to explore and understand difficult decisions and how place, time, and culture can amplify, distort, or otherwise affect our perception. I sought to draw inspiration from artistic forms that utilize intentional contrasting placement, such as the collage medium and Jericho Brown’s duplex poetry form, to examine the complex feelings arise seeking purpose in the aftermath of difficult decisions.
