Buffy Shutt live in Los Angeles and writes poetry and short fiction. She obsesses about the relationship between gender and climate change, ambition and family. A recurring theme in her work is the meaning and the role of boundaries--those that create safe and sacred spaces that bind us together and those that exclude, mangle, and destroy connection. She believes that while she is the writer, she is also the reader, conduit, and student.
