I grew up in the town of Paradise, CA, which burned down in the campfire of 2017 due to negligent behavior of PG&E. “What Has Burned in America…” is a meditation on both the destruction of the American environment, and the more specific aging of my family. Conversely, “Conversations with a baby” is written for my infant nephew who I hope will live in a safer, greener world.
